Jennifer Trott
Jennifer Trott, MPH, principal investigator for the Funders Forum on Accountable Health, is a Lead Research Scientist in the Department of Health Policy and Management at GW. Her focus is on developing policy and practice approaches to addressing health inequities. For over a decade, Jen had led several qualitative studies at GW primarily focused on interventions that address health related social needs, and has developed several foundational resources for the fields of medical-legal partnership, language services, and community health work. In addition to her work with the Forum, she is currently developing a landscape of hospital community benefit activities in California and provides research support to the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership. Jen recently conducted a HRSA-funded study to evaluate the cost of training primary care residents in Teaching Health Centers, and managed an extensive evaluation of a statewide public health response to COVID-19 for state and local stakeholders. She previously served as the Associate Director for a statewide coalition working to advance children’s health policy and healthy communities. Prior to that, Jen served as a researcher and communications director and researcher for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s flagship health care quality program, Aligning Forces for Quality. She holds a BA in Bioethics from Wellesley College and a Masters of Public Health in Health Policy from The George Washington University.
